We Made a (decent) Curry!

Our friend Kedar graciously wrote up his Curry Chicken recipe (thank you KP!) so that we could try it on our own. Let’s just say, it was obviously our first attempt at this kind of cooking, but not bad!

Here are (some) of the spices we used.
Prep! Garlic and Ginger.

This is where we started to remember to take pictures … HA

The chicken ready for the pressure cooker. The chickpeas starting too!

The whistle! And it smelled sooo good. (VIDEO)

Onions!
Sam showed up too!
Gabby moaned about the smell. Ha!
Starting the masala paste.
Spices for the paste!
The masala paste, before frying it. (I think it was supposed to be smoother.)
Frying the masala. (Almost to the finish line!)
The chicken coming out of the pressure cooker! Just falls apart. This thing is pure witchcraft.
Chicken, broth, and masala coming together!
First piece. Pretty good haha
Table!
Table set!

It was so much fun and really look forward to trying it again! Thanks so much to Kedar, especially for your patience!

Happy Halloween! (2023)

Carving Timelapse!

She wanted to be spooky! Ha

Getting the costumes on! (Hedwig, from Harry Potter, and a Dinosaur) Thank you Mommy for our awesome costumes!

Off to join the Shannon’s for Session #1 of Trick or Treat!

Sunday Skate

Sammy skating on his own!

Gabby is such a supportive big sister…

…most of the time 😂.

Gabby’s first time using hockey skates and she did awesome!!

Apple Picking

On our way to Mack’s Apple Farm!

First stop, the Farm Market to get some doughnuts and enjoy the view.

A short drive and we made it to the orchard. Sam was just tall enough to peek through lol

Unfortunately, most of the apples on the lower branches fell off due to some frost so we had to get creative. Shaun really wanted those Honey Crisps!

Everyone wanted a turn on the ladder lol

Success! Came home with lots of yummy apples and some pears too!

Family Skate! (09.24.2023)

Open skate times are finally available at the Burlington Ice Palace!

Gabby’s classmate, Caroline, invited us to join her family out on the ice. 🙂 What a great idea!

Everyone was so excited; Sammy talked about skating all morning.

Gabby was having a blast hanging with her friend!

… but we were able to interrupt periodically!

This was Sammy’s first time on the ice! He loved it!

Little shaky to start, but he had lots and lots of help. 🙂

He kept getting up after every tumble, saying, “Again. Again.” He wanted to go fast too!

And he quickly started to find his feet!
